Biography

I was born in 1975 in Spain. I studied engineering in Madrid and Shefield (UK). I have stayed in different African countries since 2003 when I started working for relief organisations.

I have always been interested in photography. I admire photographers who use the reportage to shake people out of their indifference, to tell stories about forgotten crisis, to confront us with the misery of the neglected, to protest in one word.

I am an aspiring humanitarian photographer. Conflicts, crisis, disasters and social issues are where I focus my lens. I would like to bring attention to issues that affect us on the human level. For the last years I have been working in undeveloped countries where I have tried to document the stories of the people I came across while at the same time develop a personal vision.

In this site you can find the results of that learning period. The training will be complemented with a Masters in Photography in EFTI Madrid where I got a “Roberto Villagraz” grant for 2008.
